As a ubuntu linux user I didn't miss windows but I did miss photoshop, I had tried to use gimp in the past but got frustrated and left it alone, with the new gimp 2.8 version and single windows mode, i find that it is actually a great substitute, this pic is a wallpaper I made trying to figure out how to use it

I really love the silhouette of the birds with some wonderful designs. I love how you create the clouds with the wiggle lines which really stands out on your work. Also, The way you place the planets with some great lighting effects are amazing.
